Stop Chicken Me Out!

Join Tacoma visual artist, youth sexual violence preventionist, and Tacoma Arts Initiative Program recipient Collin Veenstra for "Stop Chicken Me Out" - an afternoon of art and community showcasing their youth-focused poster series on LGBTQ affirmations, identity respect, and sexual violence prevention.

This is a free, youth-friendly pop-up event that is part solo show, part interactive community showcase, and is supported by the Tacoma ArtsTacoma Artist Initiative Program.

Folks will have the opportunity to make their own art, purchase artwork or prints, and enjoy youth-designed posters from a series of local youth program workshops on art, consent, boundaries, queer affirmation, and anti-bullying support. The Peer Education Empowerment League - PEEL will also be tabling with information about their program - a volunteer and youth-run sexual violence prevention and youth leadership development program in Tacoma, WA.

Please come by, stay for awhile, and help us create some art and community on how to build a culture of consent and identity respect.
