What started as the compositional musings of multi-instrumentalist Riley Johnson, Wend has grown into a collaborative ensemble whose songs emerge from playful improvisation and experimentation. With classical instrumentation nestled into a traditional rock ensemble, Wend uses soaring harmonies, polyrhythms, and meandering melodic motifs to create pieces which seem almost lost in time, being as much a nod to old-world folk as to contemporary psychedelic pop and progressive rock.

Cellophane Eyes:
The strange music ofCellophane Eyes is constantly changing and reimagining itself. Composed of abass guitar, vocal effects, trumpet loops, and other random instruments, theirsongs have very few to no words, but are packed with imagery and meaning. Theirsongs and aesthetic are inspired by bits and pieces of their childhood, from80s fantasy films like The Neverending Story, to retro video games,mixed in with vulnerable and sobering reflections on their adult experienceswith this planet. Through this work, they welcome you into their personal havenof childlike wonder, chaos, escapism, alternate realities, and alien worlds.

An experimental jam piece featuring a guitar-synth duet. Meditating on ambient sounds, disassociating to dreary vibes to breathe in harmony within the space we share.
